A. Brunet Ltd has celebrated 50 years in Heavy Equipment Construction. Adrien started in the construction industry working for his father-in-law in 1958. Enjoying the work, he decided to buy his own machine in 1961 by working long hours in the summer and up north in the winter. As he paid off one machine he bought another. When Adrien started out, the hourly rate for a CAT D7 was only $9.25 per hour. Through his hard work and dedication and along with the help of his wife, Agnes, Brunet Construction has grown substantially into the family business it is today.
Adrien and Agnes' sons, Greg and David, both started working with the company during and after high school. Starting as full-time operators, then supervisors and are now both owners of Brunet Construction. Their daughters, Corinna and Regina, and daughter in law, Lisa, have also contributed in the past by working in the office. Their daughter in law Carla is currently with the company and responsible for Brunet Construction's Safety Program. Adrien, Greg and David have brought with them a lifetime of experience in heavy construction. Greg and Carla's son, Cole, has been operating and working summers from a young age. He graduated from Red River College in 2016 with a degree in Construction Management and is currently with the company as a Project Manager.
Brunet Construction is COR certified (Certificate of Recognition) and belongs to many organizations such as Manitoba Heavy Construction Association, Heavy Equipment Rental Association, Morris and District Chamber of Commerce and the Canadian Federation of Independent Business.
